Rocky's is pleased to introduce our Chef, Jordan de La Morandiere to everyone.

Jordan, a Sudbury native, comes to us with a long exalted history of the restaurant and catering business.

He graduated from George Brown College in Toronto in 1976 and started his career at the Sheraton Caswell Motor Inn in Sudbury and then moved to North Bay to work at the Pinewood Park Motor Inn. From there he came back to Sudbury to work at the Pinewood Park Motor Inn. From there he came back to Sudbury to work at the Tradwind Motor Hotel in Lively.

Jordan opened his own restaurant, Stripes on Lorne Street in Sudbury in 1990. Stripes flourished as a busy lunch and supper bistro, and became a popular spot for Jordan's scrumptious Sunday brunches. Jordan also provided overtime meals for INCO and ran a thriving catering business. Jordan became known for his hearty home style cuisine where you NEVER leave the table hungry.

Jordan's Career path next led him to sales at STOP Restaurant Supply in 2002 specializing in new and used commercial restaurant equipment. We were fortunate enough to snap him up just when he wanted to get his hands back into "cheffing"

Jordan works with our staff of experienced cooks, Bonnie, Jeff, Joey, Denise and Lyndsay. Together this dynamic workforce brings you our famous Sunday All You Can Eat Fish Dinners and our popular thru the week specials. Bonnie is famous for her to die for spaghetti dinners and Jeff gets so many requests for his homemade, completely from scratch, loaded to the hilt pizzas; he can't keep up! Denise brings to the table her ooey-gooey melt in your mouth butter tarts and her grandmother's secret recipe potato doughnuts.

Jordan and his team were behind our recent successes like the September ATV Run Dinner, the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre, the Wild Game Grey Cup Buffet and our New Year's Bash where our guests raved about the bountiful banquets.
